I've also heard that it's steeped in Japanese folklore/culture and some (western audiences) may not understand or grasp the movie 100%. What's your take on this Naomi?

: This is semi-off topic, but if there's anyone out there besides myself who likes Japanese movies, not necessarily revolving around the samurai, I'd have to recommend Tampopo. It's really hard to describe, but after you watch it, you'll have a much better appreciation of a bowl of ramen.
