: I wondered, I know that Usagi Yojimbo is set in the 1600s (assuming one uses the european calender) but I wonder how far it is set from the time of Shuten Doji? Does anyone know?
Shutendoji, (lit.: "The Great Drunkard Boy"), variously described as an ogre, demon, and cannibal devil was slain by Raiko^ (Minamoto no Yorimitsu) sometime around 947, according to sources.
