I just found an interview with Stan on the net where he says that the two have never actually met.
But what is on page 32 of "The Ronin" ? Groo !
Thought bubbles:
Usagi: "... Oh, ugly barbarian."
Groo: "Stupid samurai"
And that story is from 1985 :-) So they have met but briefly.
