: It was good to see you in Waipahu, and my nephews
Hi Dave, your nephew was a terrific subject for my demonstration of making a thumb nail page. Thanks for being there.
:Thanks for passing along the photocopy of the souvenir book art with the alterations.
You're welcome.
: I'd like to make a couple SDCC requests. If you get it back in time, I am interested in the cover art to issue 59. Also, I am very interested in purchasing a couple of pencil pieces such as the one you had as part of your library demonstration.
If I have that cover, I'll bring it. I do not have many finished pencil pages, though. Most of them are in the very rough stages before they are rejected. I do know I have a double page spead of Usagi and the TMNT (the one where the Turtles were summoned by that Splinter character). I'll look to see what else I have. I'll also bring along a few finished unpublished pages and covers.
:Will you be set up for preview night on Wednesday?
We'll be there. I still do not know what my booth number and location is. It will be a corner booth, hopefully at the same location as the past few years.
: I hold out hope to eventually purchase the 8-page Jizo story and even an entire issue when you do start selling the story pages. I have an idea of putting the story into one of those racks used to display posters and make a giant readable comic book. Not sure if it will work, but the idea is very appealing to me.
My closet is getting fuller so I may be parting with pages soon and selling an entire story is more appealing to me than selling them piece meal.
:Anyhow, I know you usually have things covered, but I would always be happy to lend a hand in San Diego should the need arise, or for anything here in the islands that I could help with, of course.
Thank you. We should have things covered.
: I hope you, Sharon, and the kiddos enjoyed your
: vacation.
We're having a wonderful time. I did not get as much work done as I should have. I'll probably miss my deadline for UY 63. I was able to go to the beach for the first time yesterday--got sunburned. Sharon's high school reunion is today and we'll fly back tonight.
: Has your email address changed Stan? I tried to send you the above directly, but got the dreaded email daemon.
Yes. AltaVista discontinued their free e-mail service and I lost my addresses before I could contact most people.
