Incidentally, each panel of that double-page was drawn and not photo-copied. I don't know why I mention this except that the lunch group I meet with on Fridays just assume the panels were xeroxed until they noticed differences in each panel.
: Anyway, any questions or comments?
At his spotlight panel at this year's SDCC, John Romita Jr.mentioned a Spider-Man issue in which he had to draw a pile of debris, and keep it consistent from page to page, and how long that issue took to draw.
So, of course, as soon as I saw that double page spread I started to look for things that proved it was redrawn 4 times, and not Xeroxed. I was so impressed I handed it to my wife and I said "check this out - he redrew this panel 4 times on a 2 page spread" and she was amazed (as was I) that any artist would take the time to do that, especially when there is no change other than Usagi and Jotaro looking at the combatants.
Stan, as obvious a question as this must sound, is it difficult to reproduce a panel like that, or do you use overlays or a lightbox to aid you in making panels 2,3 and 4 so close to the first?
