Gaffey wrote: Fri Sep 03, 2021 10:21 -0700 Does anyone know if Stan will be selling remarqued sets on his website?

I already own it but I think I'd prefer a remarqued version depending on price.
The Special Editions have been difficult to get. We are still waiting for our copies.

Re: Baltimore Comic Con?

Though not attending does anyone know if Stan has anything in the 2020-2021 Baltimore Comic-Con Yearbook: Trick or Treat Edition? No, I do not. They invite those attending to contribute to the Yearbook so attendees can do a scavenger hunt for autographs. If you get a certain number of contributors ...

Re: Added to Sakai Project

Bill Morrison is a cool cartoonist. As Gaffey wrote, he edited the Sakai Project for free, which allowed more of the profits from that project to go to the Sakai’s. Yes, he did edit The Sakai Project. Matt Groening, his boss at the time, told him he could do it during regular work hours. I have kno...

Re: Sensei Sakai Usagi Chronicles Comic-Con@Home 2021

Looks really good--yeah, I wish the series wasn't intended more for a younger audience, but I'm in! The target audience for this is 6-12, which is older than the cartoon-watching demographic which is 2-6. By the time kids reach 6 they give up cartoon watching for video game playing. That is why the...

The Laughing Ogre for the Eisner Spirit of Retailer award. To see my connection to the Laughing Ogre, watch the video at about the 40:30 mark. That's cool. Did you do that for them at CXC 2016? Nevermind! I see he's wearing a mask. The mask is a very recent addition. it is not even on the lo...

Thank you all! The Best Continuing Series award was a huge surprise to me. Congratulations also to Peach Momoko for Best Cover Artist and to The Laughing Ogre for the Eisner Spirit of Retailer award. To see my connection to the Laughing Ogre, watch the video at about the 40:30 mark. https://www.even...

Do you have to use an oversized scanner?
I have an Epson that can easily accommodate 11x17, which is the size of my story pages and covers. It was recommended to me by Designer Cary at Dark Horse.

Re: Chibi Usagi: Attack of the Heebie Chibis

We will have copies on the stansakai.com website. I don't know if we will have unsigned copies, though. We prefer you get those through comics or book stores. We will definitely have duo signed and duo remarqued copies. Julie and I recently did a short interview for IDW. It should be appearing soon ...

Re: SD Comic-Con panel

There will be a Groo Panel this year, as usual, but Tom and I will not participate. Instead, Tom Yeates will take our place. The first issue of Groo Meets Tarzan will be out just about then and, since this is the first Groo comic in quite awhile, the emphasis of the panel will be on that. I don't kn...

I wonder if the timing will be right for a space Usagi miniseries after the Netflix show airs? Peace, maka

SD Comic-Con panel

Please do not disseminate this yet as it has not been officially scheduled by San Diego Con's programming, but we will be doing a panel on the Netflix show with the show runners, director, art director, voice talents and myself. No doubt the Annecy teasers will be shown as well. We still do not know...

Re: Sergio & Stan art background compositions

I have the 24 issue run of Groo el Errante published in b/w in Spain. Is that the series that Sergio did new covers for? The images take place one second after the US covers. Example: If the US cover shows Groo falling off a cliff, the Spanish one has him landing in thorn bushes. I am been after Se...
