Re: 47 Ronin

I am reading the first issue. I really like it. I find it to be a little slower than Usagi, but the samurai epic feeling translates nicely in comic form. I am surprised it will only take 5 issues to tell this story; I was excited for a really long running new series that dealt with an actual samurai...

Re: Usagi Yojimbo T-shirt on TeeFury

Well as a fan to Usagi/ Stan Sakai and other indie comics and their respective writers, could there be more 3XL shirt available when stuff is released. I always find official stuff I love, but it usually cost too much and is XL or some odd interpretation of 2XL, so I always go to 3XL, which is hard ...

Re: Usagi in TMNT 2012

Stan Sakai wrote:Usagi will not be guest starring in the TMNT TV series.
But he might be in the IDW comic series?(knduge, knudge, wink, wink, say no more, say no more) Or is there a lot of legal stuff that would prevent IDW being able to have a Dark Horse charcter in TMNT 2012?

Was not this originally being published by marvel? They had a non Marvel U samurai comic going on, but it was like five or seven bucks an issue, and not a lot of pages.

It was a great panel at the convention! between Stan And Jeff's panel and Stan Lee's Panel, I had more fun at Stan and Jeff's panel. Never have read bone, but that may have to change soon.

Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan

A few days ago I picked up the first four published volumes of Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, and I must say from what I have read I really like it! A friend of mine had seen the anime and said it was ok in the beginning, but puttered out by mid to end of the first season. Regardless, I took my chanc...

Just watched it a second time, and yes it is good as a reboot. I liked it a lot. tart of show spoiler, I am mixed over the ThunderCats of this new series not fleeing their home planet as it dies like in the old series, but instead have a kingdom named Thundara on Third Earth which they have been pro...

I am not going to hug Stan Lee for you (j/k), but what is the request?

Also who else is coming to Baltimore Comic-con? Is it possible that if their is enough of us, that we could take you out to dinner Mr. Sakai?

Revisiting HOUSE for a second corse

Criterion Collection sale ends today at Barnes and Noble. A week ago I snagged along with The Hidden Fortress , Rashomon , The Seventh Seal , The Great Dictator , and M , the 1978 Japanese horror film House , which Jet Jaguar had spoken of in a previous post. Anyway, my views on the film after sitti...

New Thundercats!

Who else saw the new ThunderCats show on CN. I must admit it was very good. I hope it is successful and stays strong. It is a major change from the original back in the 80's

Two great yokai manga found in shonen were Ushio and Tora and 3x3Eyes. A shame Ushio and Tora never made it to the US and 3x3Eyes was cancled by Dark Horse for US publication.

I think they're just releasing them as Ghibli themselves are. Nausicaa came out on BluRay in Japan and a few months later Disney released a US version. So when Pom Poko gets the HD treatment over there a US release will probably follow. Either way, the current Pom Pokhttp DVD already looks swell up...

Ok since I started this I guess I shoudl now enter which ones I have championed in my discussions with my friend. Laputa (Castle in the Sky) I agree is one I show to a new fan, though I am mad at the dub for leaving out very obvious lines (people the character's mouth is still moving, I don't care i...
