I've only been to the last one but the comic area seemed to be less crowed then the movie area. Honestly I found the smaller panels to be relaxing and a good way to get away from the crowds of the floor. My son (10) & I walked into 4 panels with no waiting. I bought 4 day pass late Sunday, 5pm ish. At that point the preview night option had sold out. I too wonder if more preview + 4 days will be available when the passes go on sale in mid Aug.
