Re: 2013 Baltimore Comic Con Yearbook (sneak peak)

Also an update for members who had ordered from me, I stayed over in Baltimore a while after the convention, and after I got home I had to catch up on real-world work, but I started packing over the weekend, and all orders should be going out tomorrow other than 1 that I'm waiting for an address to ...

Re: 2013 Baltimore Comic Con Yearbook (sneak peak)

2 sets of the 5 signed prints on ebay this morning for $50 per set... Such a shame that book was not available to everybody. For only $20 they would have cleaned up just selling it to dojo members! I would have bought one for sure! maybe two just for the other cover as well especially at that price...

Re: 2013 Baltimore Comic Con Yearbook (sneak peak)

I believe Roel ordered one from me, and as soon as I go through my orders and put books with payments, I'll know if I have any extras. I also did the rounds of trying to get autographs from the artists at the show, and while I wasn't able to get every single copy signed by the dozens of artists who ...

Re: 2013 Baltimore Comic Con Yearbook (sneak peak)

I got Scott Sava's Art Nouveau portrait of Tomoe from the book! Some very nice pieces, I sort of wish though that some of the print images were included in the book instead, not everyone will be getting all the signatures required to get the extra prints, so that means people will never see those im...

Re: 2013 Baltimore Comic Con Yearbook (sneak peak)

Out of interest, is there any difference to determine how you can get the VIP version instead of the normal one? You get the "VIP" version of the art book if you buy the $100 "VIP" ticket package. If they decide to sell any of those to at-show attendees on Sunday, I'll try to sn...

Re: 2013 Baltimore Comic Con Yearbook (sneak peak)

Woo Hoo! Someone IS going to Baltimore Comic Con :D Hey Dave, Any chance you might be willing to go through all that trouble again this year for some of us UY Dojo forum members? I am more than willing to reimburse you for any and all trouble and expenses if you can get me a copy, and I would not b...

Re: 2013 Baltimore Comic Con Yearbook (sneak peak)

I have just been told that Frank Cho's piece, along with a couple others', will not be in the book. They will be made as prints, and will be available as a sort of Easter Egg. Those who buy the book at the con can get the creators to sign them. For every 10 signatures they will get their choice of ...

Re: Usagi Yojimbo T-shirt on TeeFury

Out of interest, as a philosophical question Steve, how do you see Tee Fury selling a shirt based upon a design someone drew for money, compared to any artist selling a commission piece using someone else's IP? I asked David Petersen to draw Usagi for me, and paid him for the commission. So David s...

Re: Usagi Yojimbo T-shirt on TeeFury

People are forgiving of them when the artists who design the shirts steal the intellectual property of a big corporation, but they tend to forget that such "known" characters as Hellboy or Usagi Yojimbo are owned by individuals, not some big faceless company. It would be somewhat different...

An "Old West Usagi" commission I had noted you about before. Assuming you have time in this hectic push to get ready for the con. Look forward to seeing you there!

why do I not mention the charity in the auction? After I got the sketches the first time from SDCC and it was time to auction them off, I had not yet become an ebay seller with a store like I have now. (in fact the first thing I ever sold on ebay was a Cystic Fibrosis sketch). So I asked my friend ...

David, could you post a scan of your Art Nouveau illustration? thanks.
Thanks for the interest. It's right up on my website, page down on the right and click on "Stan Sakai"...
