Just a heads up, that issue of Anime Play is out! I picked it up today at my local Suncoast Video store It was very cool to see Stan working and discussing Usagi. It was amazing how quickly a rough sketch came together as a fully formed drawing of Usagi. Great work Stan! For what it's worth, there's...

I'm getting ready to run an Usagi game, and last weekend got my players, a husband and wife, to make some characters. Hopefully we'll be playing next weekend. Here are their characters. Sorry if these are a bit long. Kumada - Bear/Bounty Hunter Kumada was found by monks working in the fields....

Yeah, "Samurai Fiction" was a pretty cool move, very fun. I thought I would dislike it, but was very pleasantly surprised. Lots of good performances, cool music... dang it! Now I'm going to have to watch it again. :) "Twilight Samurai"... what can I say about it other than everyo...

I was so happy to see Inspector Ishida again. It was too bad Usagi wasn't around -- he plays a good Watson to Ishida's Holmes, but hey, we got more Ishida. The scene with Ishida and Kitsune was played perfectly!

I look foward to seeing more of the intrepid inspector :)

I always thought that snake in the "Hebi" story was a monster of some kind. I could be mistaken though. Hijiki is the only human? What about a certain cheese-dip loving barbarian? :) The reason I asked this question originally is that I am preparing to run the Usagi RPG, and I was thinking...

Animal Types Question

I have a question about some of the "animal types" in the Usagi world. I might not know the answer due to not having all the issues (I am still missing a few of the Fantagraphic collections), but I thought someone here might be able to answer my questions. Has there ever been a "bat&q...

Joe here. I'm 35 years old from Michigan. I work for a law firm in the administration department. I've been aware of Usagi for a long time (I used to thumb through issues at the local comic shop), but just recently started getting into it, buying the collections. I can't stop reading them! As for ho...

Thanks for the link, Stan. I think I would try the seaweed ice cream. The rest though... I think I'll stick with my chocolate, thanks :) Reading those did remind me of an old episode of Iron Chef where one of the Iron Chefs made squid ink ice cream. All the judges seemed pleasantly surprised that it...

Excellent! Thanks for the heads up on that. I've seen that magazine in the local Suncoast Video store. I'll have to make sure to get a copy.

Of course I have to ask, what were you drawing? I suppose I could just wait and see it :)
