Thank you so much for your generosity, sensei. I'll find some way to make it up to you. If times are better for me, and you find yourself at MegaCon in 2009, you'll get a fat tip in your jar :D You must definitely know about tuition prices, with two children on the books. I'm double-dipping myself, ...

My Usagi Ebay auction...Now, before you scold me....

A while back, I purchased a Fallen Son blank cover that had an Usagi sketch done by sensai on it. It was from Motor City Comic Con, and I remember there was some to-do on the boards because the person who sold it to me (not someone I know, just a random ebay seller) was selling a free sketch, which ...

$625...wow.

Mr. Sakai... How do you feel when you see your art sell for such a high price?

$100 or so sounds like a good price. Especially since it's custom-made artwork. Yep...Plus a lot of the stuff that Mr. Sakai keeps in the portfolio was or will be used on the back cover of future issues or in other publications. The Thing/Usagi piece was used in a Joe Simon tribute. I know he also ...

All of my finished/inked sketches started at $100 and went up from there. I think $135 was the most expensive of the bunch. The quick sketch that Mr. Sakai did for me at MegaCon was $20. I supplied a backing board and he sketched the scene out for me. All were more than worth it, if you ask me :) Ho...

Wowza, Was this cover available with the other Hulk 1 covers at Megacon? I didn't see it, but I'm sure it would have stood out. As always, you came through big for the charity. Many of the covers available at MegaCon had minimal sketches, done quickly while the artist had a moment. You really put yo...

I imagine if you have several different email addresses, you can set up an account for each. I don't see why someone would put in the time and effort to do that unless they have a serious vendetta against the seller, though.

I got a chuckle from this part of the item's description: I NOW RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL BIDS BY ANY USER WITH LESS THAN 30 POSITIVE FEEDBACK POINTS. THE REASON FOR THIS IS THAT THERE IS A PARASITE OUT THERE WHO, WEEK AFTER WEEK AND MONTH AFTER MONTH, CREATES NEW USERIDS ONLY TO BID ON MY ITEMS S...

Sensei, I've always wondered about the pieces that are dated from a few years ago, as this one is 2006. Have you carried those to every con in the last couple of years and they went unsold each time? Do you have an inventory of drawings that you take to different cons, some here, some there? I was c...

You showed me the Tex when I was at your table at the Con and I must say, as stunning as it is scanned, it's even better in person.

Thanks for sharing!

Usagi art on ebay

Doesn't look like a convention sketch. More like a portfolio piece from a con. Either way, it's a beauty.

However, I thought Stan wasn't giving out sketches anymore, because of dirtbags selling them on ebay. Did the policy change?
No, it's still the same. I paid him a bit to do this one. Well worth it.

I wanted to get that Cap-Usagi print so bad. It was up for a LONG time. But Morna-san is right. *sigh* That Thing/Usagi piece is great! I struggled back and forth with it also. I was following the thread while trying to decide. I think I found a middle ground that allowed me to purchase it. It shou...

It's small, but it's growing. Hopefully you'll enjoy!
