I can't help you with the colour, but does it really matter that much? Paint Gen the way you like, not the way someone else tells you to. Exactly, just do what you'd like, it might be that he or even Usagi actually bothered to change their clothing for once and that is that which you have expressed...

Where can I get my hands on the rulebook? Does anyone know?
