They look very impressive to me at first glance - I'd have to look more closely and refer to some of my books on the history and development of samurai armour.

Bet they're expensive though...

Wow! Thanks for the thorough response!

The reversed printing thing is a good point - for ages I thought Lone Wolf was left handed until I realised that Dark Horse had reversed the images for its translated editions.

Read an article in Judge Dredd Megazine (which I am still to get round to scanning or typing up for Steve  ) and was fascinated by the idea of a rabbit samurai, ordered books one and two from Amazon and now am the proud owner of books one through nineteen and a large credit card bill...

I think the phrase 'timeless genius' sums up Usagi pretty well, so yes, he will still be famous in 5 years time.

Don't worry Hugegoat - it's not the ending that's important (though it is incredibly moving), but how they get there. You'll still enjoy the book.

Great film, but I think he must have ripped off 'A Fistful of Dollars' for the plot, just like he ripped off 'The Magnificent Seven' for his film 'the Seven Samurai'.

A school for children with 'magical' psychic powers... someone who defeated an evil lord when they were just a child.

Why does this sound familiar?

It looks like I may have to track down one or two of those as well then. Though having seen a copy of Book 2 being sold second hand on Amazon for about £300  it might take some time...
