Re: New animated Usagi series?
Utterly great news... hopefully no counting of chickens, and it actually happens... a little disappointed the targetted age range is 6-11, but hopefully it's still "mature" enough in themes (and I don't mean violence here) to appeal to adults too. I'm hoping for something along the lines ...

Has anyone else had the opportunity to see this? It dives into a lot of themes I've been fascinated with for a while - Christianity in feudal Japan, the nature of faith, etc.

"Christ in Wood"
This is a short film my brother made a few years ago. Here's the synopsis: Two men in a dark city engage in a silent battle with sexy specters, mecha-pigeons, masked assistance, inappropriate uses of crucifixes and a Christ in Wood. Please watch it if you have the time. https://www.youtube.com/watch...

Enter Bebop & Rocksteady
In typical Michael Bay fashion, "TMNT2" looks horribly goofy. But at least Bebop and Rocksteady are in it, and they stepped right out of the '80's cartoon.

Noh Theater Comedy Skit
An excerpt from the television show MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000: Mike and his robot puppets attempt to stage a Kabuki performance, but things go slightly awry. This skit is inspired by Bud Abbott and Lou Costello's classic "Who's On First?" comedy bit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sa-K...

SNOWPIERCER is a movie everyone should see
Joon-ho Bong's SNOWPIERCER is an angry, ferocious film about the escalating war between the classes condensed into a struggle upon a train barrelling through a world covered in endless ice and snow. It's a brutal watch, but it's worth seeing at least once for the message it imparts to the poor and r...

Usagi Yojimbo: The Play??
Apparently, someone has mounted a live-action performance of the comic book in London, at the Southwark Playhouse. Does Stan know about it?

Artists vs. TMNT
Not exactly Usagi-related, but it's pretty damn funny regardless. (WARNING: Adult-themed rap lyrics ahead!)

I'd love to have more faith in this project, but not casting someone like Sho Kosugi as Shredder is such a waste.
At least it looks like they've nailed Mikey's personality.
