I've read about 8 of the books, I agree with Mr Sakai in that the first one is also my favourite. I wasn't too impressed with what I've seen of the Redwall animation though.

I know this is kind of an old topic, but I saw Zatoichi at an independant cinema at the weekend, and it was fantastic! great mix of comedy, morality and extreme violence!

Yes, this film does look like it might be good, but Tom Cruise being in it really puts me off. I'm not a fan of his in the first place, but furthermore I agree with the points Takematsu has made, it just bugs me that it has to have a big western star in it for a film like this to succeed in the west.

I know it's already been suggested by a couple of people, but I too would love to see another story featuring Inukai-san! He is such a cool character; mean and ruthless when he needs to be for his cause but still a caring, generous guy.

Yeah, I really liked this film. Some pretty unpleasant bits in it tho.....the gunshot at the start made EVERYONE in the cinema nearly jump out of their seats!
