I´ve noticed that too, and I also think he looks a little more like Jizonobu on the later ones.
And he indeed looks creepier...

I got my sketch yesterday, big thanks to Stan.

To me it looks like they were duelling and Jeizuma passed him, receiving the wound; Usagi is known to remain in the last stance after a duel.... Y'know, I really hope we haven't started a trend where various Jei-possessed characters are titled by name-combos ( i.e. "Jeisagi, Jeizuma, Jeisabo, ...

This subject might have came up earlier since I am too lazy to look after. But anymay, In which fight and in which story would you say that our long eared hero has come closest to being killed? I myself hasn´t read all too many stories, but of those I have read I´d say his encounter with Jei in Gras...

I think it would probably be best if he returned to his original form. But if he had to switch I think Gen or Kenichi would be the most interesting hosts, Gen as his best friend and Kenichi as the husband of the mother of his child and childhoodfriend. I personally have only read quite few Usagi Yojimbo comics. A few english editions and a few more in swedish Usagi comic book and even fewer in TMNT comics (which also is where I was introduced to UY).
