Weekly Trivia Challenge: May 4-10

Post by Gaffey »

Can you name this character? I can't.

How's that for a trivia question?

If anyone has an actual trivia question, feel free to take over this week. :)

 Yep, I had cropped 2 pictures and posted the wrong one. Didn't realize that right away.

I've been trying to figure out who this is for 12 years. Started in 2002 or 2003.

Wow, I've been around a while. I think there's only a handful of us left.

There's a few of us still here from the very early days heh... I think I first came here about 2000. Certainly a year or two before the current phpBB database was operational (and we all had to register again).

Yeah...you, Steve, go, john h., maka(?). Can't think of any others off the top of my head.

If anyone would like to try to answer my question here are two old threads.

2002
http://www.usagiyojimbo.com/forum3/view ... rview#p470

2006
http://www.usagiyojimbo.com/forum3/view ... iew#p12986

and the overview itself.

I believe these were the only two characters not identified. I've flipped through every book multiple times. Maybe they aren't even part of Usagi's world. :?

She looks like Akiko Komachi, the merchant's daughter from "Wrath of the Tangled Skein" to me, mainly because of the white strip in her hair.

This week's question has been a bust. All these Usagi fans and not one guess as to who the guy is.

You should probably start thinking of something for next week or maybe spread out the questions.

Wasn't the first question (and therefore the trivia challenge) asking only about the female, whom Steve identified? It seems to me that this week's question was successfully answered and therefore not a bust.

I thought this week's question was a great question. I have no idea who she is and assume that Steve knows. :)

A lot of these questions, I don't know the answer. I don't have the time right now to search because of work. But I think the question was a great one.

Peace, maka

I agree! Love this question as it has me wondering and I have no clue of the answer but look forward to hearing it on Monday.

Not to go all Zen on us here but not all questions have an answer and for ome questions it is just the thinking that matters more than answer, no? (ya, I'll stop now as I am most definitely NOT a Zen master dude! :D )

Ugh, I thought I made an addendum to the question. Obviously I did not and just added the pic of the guy.

Sorry about that.

I have no idea but a great question though!

Is it just me or does the guy's kamon resemble Spider-Man's face?

Time to put an end to the suffering. :) Congrats to Steve. It's his turn to come up with a question.

The woman is Akiko Komachi from The Wrath of the Tangled Skein.

I think the guy in question is just part of Tatsusaburo's kite team.
