Weekly Trivia Challenge: June 1-7 (Bonus Edition)

Somehow I won last weeks bonus trivia... and apparently now it's my turn to come up with something for this week.

Gaffey's question is the official question for this week and mine is the bonus question. The prize for this bonus question is bragging rights.

My question is illustrated. I have cropped three images. Careful examination should give you some clues.

Your task is to tell me the character and the story. If you can pinpoint the exact page & panel, you get extra credit.

Please PM me your answers. I'll give clues as needed.

Clue 1
The contest runs from JUNE 1 - 7 (or 6, 1, 7). This clue should make it easier to find where the images are from, otherwise it might be hard to cover all the possible individual comic book issues to check. Of course you could also trade this clue for some paper before turning your back on FANTAGRAPHICS.
