Weekly Trivia challenge June 25th-July 5th

Dear UYDers,

You all know the Death Bubble that Stan has been using for many years, like the picture up above.

What story did it first appear and who was killed?
In what story did the second death bubble appear and who was killed?

Answer both of these questions correctly and you will be entered in to win this week's trivia question. I like the idea of everyone who gets the correct answer has the change to win. So PM your answers. You can guess as many times as you want. Good luck and have fun!

I will send the winner of this contest one of these Usagi Reads posters:

Steve, feel free to post this on the UYD Facebook page if you want to try and get more Facebook members on this site.

Peace, maka

Okay, you have about 7 days to pm me your answers now. :)

Just to clarify, I'm looking for the story name. The story name is found in both collections and individual comics and in digital comics. Also, I'm not looking for specific names of people who died. "Unicorn" would be an acceptable answer. But unicorn is wrong.

Good luck to all!

Go wrote: I think Stan first used the death bubble in The Adventures of Nilson Groundthumper in Albedo #1 vol. 1.
The name of the story is: "The Adventures of Nilson Groundthumper".
Karet the fox is killed by a one horned monster.
In the hardback edition the story is now named "Nilson Meets Hermy, or We're Not Lost...Just Misplaced".
Bubble appears on page 11.
Dear UYDers,

I wasn't clear enough. I am only looking for the first two appearances of the death skull bubbles in Usagi stories. But Go gets the reward of go back to the first issue of Albedo. I didn't even think to look there. 8)

Well, if anyone saw your answers here (I didn't) they could copy them and PM me to enter the contest. Your answers were the correct!

Congratulations, Gaffey!

It is still early, good people. You can PM your guesses to me and give Gaffey and Go a little more competition.

Another correct answer! I guess my trivia question wasn't too hard as long as you know where to start looking.

Good luck to you all!

Dear UYDers,

The correct answer to the first and second appearance of the death skull sound bubble in Usagi Yojimbo was "both the first and second appearances of the death balloon appear in 'Bounty Hunter.' The first is "the last of the brigands," the second is a few pages later, "Kenichi" (the brother of One-eyed Ichiro) disguised as a priest." - Maichan

1) Go
2) Gaffey
3) Maichan

Using Random.org "True Random Number Generator" the #1 came up.

Congratuations to Go! You are now officially entered to win the Usagi Yojimbo July Trivia Surprise gift pack! Good luck!

Thank you all for playing! (Side note: Mayhem was the first to PM me but he had other great death skull sound bubbles examples that came later than my answer).

Peace, maka
