Not-Weekly Not-so-Trivia Challenge August 9 - August 15

Post by maichan »

Okay, since I'm totally unprepared to have a real trivia challenge, how about this instead....

Imagine if Usagi ever decided to leave Japan and go exploring elsewhere, where would you like to see him have an adventure or two. I'm not asking for any crossover stories with other artists characters, but I am thinking more in the line of places or historical context.....

For example, I'd like to see him interact with some Vikings! What about you? You'll have to provide more detail than I did, so let's hear your ideas.

Winner will be determined by... some method I haven't decided on yet.

I would like to see Usagi become involved in the King Arthur legend. I think that's a really interesting subject.

I think it might be fun if he got sent back to the Heian period, or some other previous era, then accidentally sent to China or Korea as an emissary.

I would like to see Usagi in War War II on either side of the battle. My dad once said, "Stan should spell it USA-GI" and make a patriotic issue. :). I don't know if that is a good idea but I like that my dad, who doesn't have any interest in comics, was interested this time. Ha. Peace, maka

I would like to see Stan's take on the "Red Sun" story idea of having a bad-BADWORD samurai wandering around the American west in the company of an American gunfighter, chasing after some stolen heirloom which the recovery of is a matter of honor for Usagi and a matter of reward for the gunfighter.....

USA-GI reminded me of this art in the Sakai Project. U.S.A. G.I. Image

Imagine Usagi voyaging to Hawaii during the days of King Kamehameha I. As King Kamehameha is uniting the Hawaiian Islands, Usagi is in search of rescuing Gen who was kidnapped after following a bounty for an international criminal beyond Japan! Along the way, he learns Hawaiian culture/hawaiian history and the arts of war in Hawaii. He also learns the meaning of aloha by caring for people along the way. Then finally voyages back home with Gen on a voyaging canoe to Japan while using the stars to guide them home.

Yowzers! I got carried away. ;-)

Everyone had great answers!
My personal pick is Steve's suggestion. He intrigued me with that movie. I want to watch it now.

However, we shall leave the real winner to the random number generator...
