Usagi Yojimbo DojoBoard

Okay, Valentines Day themed one that is straight forward.

No prizes on tap, just bragging rights!!!

PM me your answer and I will let everyone know the correct answer and who "won" next Monday morning:

The Question:

Who is the first character that we see Usagi kiss or be kissed by taken from a chronological persepctive via publishing dates???

(I.e. starting in 1984 with the first appearance of Usagi Yojimbo in Albedo 2 and going forward by date, who was the first Usagi kiss with?)

Sorry all. Is the question too boring, too easy or just no one interested???

Just trying to liven the place up a bit and have some fun with these quizzes.

I was honestly trying to figure it out, and really can't remember...

Somehow I completely missed this being posted. Just read the initial post today. Weird since I check for new posts every time I visit the forum.

So I've been thumbing through the TPB's since I haven't a clue.... didn't see anything like a kiss in the first 3 volumes.

Yup, took all my kids and I thumbing through a number of the volumes before we actually came to a true "on screen" kiss, as it were!

But, you all know it most likely has to be either Mariko, Chizu or Tomoe, right?

I know Usagi and Chizu have exchanged saliva a bunch of times.

But I think Mariko may have been the first way back in the "Critters" days.

After checking, and double checking, and having my kids help me comb through every page of the paperback Volume Collections in order from Volume 1 onwards, the first actual kiss "on screen" that we see in published order is in Volume 8 on page 63 between Usagi and ... drumroll ... CHIZU!!!

(please correct me if I am wrong Stan or any other experts--Boy I hope that I am NOT wrong! )

So for all of you that guessed Chizu, you can now rightfully brag all you want (more a la Gen than Usagi) around the Dojo!

And for those of you that must have a single winner, Usagi-Yojimbo was the first to PM me the correct answer.

So congrats to all and thanks for playing. It made my day a whole lot more fun interacting with you all and seeing the thought processes.

I believe now that Usagi-Yojimbo has been declared the "First" winner, he (she?--I think you are a he?) gets to post the question for this week!
