Steve and i were wondering if this is true.

Please do not include posters as prints.
First person to private message to me the name or accurate description of the the rarest Sensei Sakai signed print will be the winner.
The prize for our Weekly Trivia contest for the week of April 27th is a choice between:

Best wishes to all!

Are you saying there is a print in circulation that is less than 5?

Just to clarify, because the question isn't 100% unambiguous heh, the print has to feature something drawn by Stan, AND he has signed it, correct?

Correct.

OK, for clarification purposes, is a colored version of a print considered a separate print or just a variation?

Dear Readers,
Let us count the colored as a variation of the same print.
What is the rarest Sensei Sakai signed print?
Thank you very much for your clarifying questions.
Best wishes to all,
go

Dear Readers,
Gaffey wins!
Here is the answer sent by Sensei Sakai:
"I think Draw the World Together print only had two copies. Tom Luth colored that one, but the copies might have been a simple photocopy.
A Quiet Meal (or Dragonfly print) was an edition of 50 hand colored copies, but I don't think I even hand colored that many. I did maybe 30 or so. Same with the hand colored Dragon print, though this one probably had more colored prints.
I am not sure about the Albedo #2 cover. Steve Gallacci hand silk screen printed this one as a nine colored print. I don't know how many he actually completed. I have two with, maybe, 7 colors.
The first Fantagraphics silk screen print (Usagi and Moon) also had a smaller print run than anticipated because of the problems of screen printing. We had to throw away about a third of the print run because of misprinting, registration, and other problems."
Congratulations Gaffey!
Gaffey, please pick your prize ( Critters 1,Usagi Yojimbo 100, Albedo 3 or 4) and send me your snail mail address by pm.
Gaffey, it is your turn to host the Usagi Yojimbo Trjivia Contest!
Thank you all very much for your participation.
Best wishes to all!

At least Gaffey and I had the right lines heh... as said, it's one of the few things I don't own, which is why it was the first thing to spring to mind
According to Steve here (
http://www.usagiyojimbo.com/forum3/view ... 236#p28236 ), the original artwork and five hand coloured copies were sold at auction for the charity. That's where I was getting my information from. You can also see one of the coloured versions, I presume this is the copy that Steve owns.

Needless to say, I don't have one of those either heh, which is also why I know about it (and that was my second answer to the quiz).

This makes me wonder how many of the "Usagi and Moon" prints were released. Mine is numbered 151/200, if I remember correctly while sitting here at work.
This week's question was super, esp for the "collectors" among us!

This episode was way out of my league, so I left it to the experts!
Well done Gaffey!
