Weekly Trivia Challenge Oct 19-25

Ok, so I finally came up with an idea for a trivia.
You probably all know the small japanese memorial statues called "Jizo". They are heavily featured in Usagi story "200 Jizo".

But these small statues also sometimes appear in the background of Usagi wanderings.

This week question is: In how many Usagi stories can we see a Jizo?

You should submit (by pm to me) a list of all Jizo sightings you can spot, with story name, page number and panel. Only one appearance per story is required (so if a Jizo appears twice in the same story, it counts only as one appearance for this quizz)

The person who can find the largest number of appearances will win.
In case of draw, I will use a random number generator to pick the winner.

There is no limit for the number of times you can submit answers, so feel free to uptade the list you send me anytime before next week.

Good luck to all, and happy Jizo hunting. :D

I started to receive some answers, so here is the status of the competition at the moment (I don't count the appearance in the example of the 200 Jizo story).

Gaffey is currently leading with 18 confirmed Jizo.

19 Jizo found by Gaffey!

Keep looking, people: I know for a fact that no one has found all the Jizo statues yet. :)

Trevis Woods takes the lead with 24 Jizo. This is the new record to beat!

Again, no one has found all the Jizo yet.

Since people have asked me about Senso and Space Usagi, let's say they are fair game, and they are part of the competition. (each individual issue counts a story, like for the regular Usagi Yojimbo series)
However, covers, sketches, pin-ups... do not count. Only issues interior pages.

What an exciting competition! Gaffey is back in first place with 26 points!

I feel like a crazy person, talking alone. :D

There is just one day left, so here is the status of the competition:

Tie between Gaffey and Trevis Woods at 26 points.

Clue: When combining all the answers, I find a total list of 28 Jizo appearances to be found (in addition to the one in 200 Jizo). There still might be one or two that everyone missed, though, but probably not many more.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Steve swoop in at the last minute with 26+ Jizo sightings. He has to own some super rare story few of us have ever seen.

I started counting last night on my phone (I have almost all the digital issues on my phone. I know, such a fanboy :) ). But swiping on the screen was a little tedious after awhile. I only got to issue 7 in Vol. 1. And I only found 1 Jizo set in classic Usagi digital edition (albedo or Critter days). While I hate to give up on this great contest this week, I'll leave it to you diehard fans. :) Good luck!

Peace, maka

Gaffey and Trevis have nothing to fear from me, every time I tried looking, I ended up getting sucked into reading various stories and so I only made it through half the series of tpbs....

Even if you have just one Jizo, it's still worth sending me a pm. Even if you won't win the contest, you might have spotted a Jizo no one else found, and I think it would be interesting to have a complete list of Jizo appearances as a result of this contest.

Have you had any responses from anybody coming in from the UY Dojo Facebook page to participate?

I've been considering a FB only giveaway (separate from our trivia contest here). It would likely be more of a mini prize pack and wouldn't be a monthly thing; probably more of a one-off giveaway.

Lol...I started to have the same problem but made myself power through. I also only found one in the whole Fantagraphics run. I'm curious if Gaffey and I have the same 26 or if another person found the two we are missing.
