Stan has a real talent for creating strong, independent and interesting female characters. From Tomoe, Inazuma, Kitsune and Sakura to my favorite, Chizu they all have been part of some of the best stories in Usagi's long run.
Recently, Chizu and Kitsune both appeared together in one of my favorite stories "The Thief and the Kunoichi" At the end of this story, Chizu initiates a kiss between her and Usagi which leads to this weeks question: In what issue number, story title and page number does Usagi initiate a kiss with Chizu? I'm only aware of one instance where this happens.
Have fun searching this week!

one correct answer so far!
One little clue...If you are looking in the Fantagraphics run you won't find it. That will eliminate a significant number of pages to dig through

I want to add another clue so we can get more than two correct answers.
Usagi Yojimbo Saga volume #1 does not have the answer to this question but if Usagi was to count his fingers he would find it much easier to get the answer to this weeks question.

I actually looked through my books, found it, and recorded the story name, page, and panel number - but forgot to record the issue number.

I'll have to look for it later today.

One hand or two?

Does a thumb count as a finger or is it considered a thumb?

Maybe we should use these for the next trivia question?

Are you counting this in Usagi hands(since he only has four fingers) or normal human hands??

6 correct answers!!!
The correct answer was Usagi Yojimbo volume 3, issue 61, "Out of the Shadows" page 22. In panel 4 Usagi makes his move. Over 80 issues later Chizu repays the favor. Talk about a slow burn
This week's contestants with correct answeres were:
Maichan
Lobster Johnson
Maka
Eltanin
Gaffey
Steve
I went old school to pick the winner.
All the names were put in a hat at my office this morning and the winner that was picked out of the hat is: Lobster Johnson!
Congrats and thanks to everybody who played this week! I hope everybody enjoyed the question and scavenger hunt. Glad to see so many guesses. I hope the extra clues helped increase the participation. The clue regarding Saga vol. 1 and then referencing the number of Usagi's fingers was to get people to look in Saga vol. 4 for the answer. I know everybody may not have time to dig through the all the Usagi pages so I wanted to narrow it down to get some more participation. The new Saga volumes certainly make these type of questions much easier!
