Usagi "Trivia" Challenge Sept. 25- Oct. 3
Posted: Sun Sep 25, 2016 13:30 -0700
Hi!
This week's trivia challenge is a bit different. The challenge is to pick a favorite page from the Usagi Yojimbo Coloring Book, color it, and post the results here. Any medium counts: marker, crayon, pencil, paint, or even digital. If you do not want to ruin the pristine condition of your book, feel free to print off any Usagi drawing done by Stan Sakai and color it. The contest will be judged for creativity, balance, and composition. I will do a watercolor (or ink, if the winner wishes) commission of any one or two Usagi/Groo characters on 11x17 bristol for the winner. Second place will receive a sketch card sized watercolor drawing, also of a character of their choice. Third place is the same as second, but will be in ink as opposed to watercolor.
You can find my work in the Ronin Ramblings section under the title "The (Still Improving) Artwork of Randy Clute," where I must apologize for the lack of Usagi-themed artwork. If anyone needs an extra day or so to finish their piece, please let me know and I will be happy to oblige. The winners commissions will be drawn soon after, and depending on homework and extra-curricular activities, should be finished and shipped in one to three weeks past the end of the contest.
