April Trivia Prize Pack

Post by jabba359 »

Sorry for the late post, again.

As always, thanks to Stan for all the items he has donated for these giveaways. They wouldn't be possible without his generosity. Special thanks to Gaffey for donating the Dantes Verlag items and Get Caught Reading poster included in this month's prize pack. More thanks goes out to all the artists who have been kind enough to provide original sketches for the sketch cards. Finally, thanks to all of you for participating and making this a great forum.

So, how does one win a prize pack? Here's how:

*Participate in the weekly trivia as you normally do.
*The winner or winners (if more than one) of the weekly trivia will be entered into the monthly prize drawing. If you win a weekly trivia question and don't want to be entered into the prize giveaway, just PM me and I'll exclude you from the randomizer at the end of the month.
*The winners of the trivia that ends during the prize month are eligible (for example, if a weekly trivia ends on April 30th, you qualify for April's prize pack, if it ends May 1st, you'd be in May's drawing).
*As people win the weekly trivia contests, I'll update the list of all the winners (in the order they won) and then use a random number generator (https://www.random.org/) to select the Prize Pack winner.
*I will announce in this thread who the prize pack winner is and contact them via PM for shipping info. International participants are welcome to play along.
*Participants can win two months in a row, but for the sake of spreading the love, any weekly wins on the third month will not count as an entry into the monthly prize pack. Back to back wins have only happened twice in the two years I've been running this, so winning three months in a row would have been possible, but unlikely. This just ensures that outcome is avoided. Thanks for understanding.
*These rules are subject to change on subsequent months if there are bugs to work out.

For the month of April, we'll celebrate the recently announced Usagi/TMNT crossover with some Turtles related prizes. In case you're wondering, the IDW "Find Your Hero" card is signed by Turtles co-creator Kevin Eastman, writer Tom Waltz, and editor Bobby Curnow. Here's what's up for grabs (remember, if it's signed in the picture, then the item you receive will be signed as well). Items are not to scale :D :

About the artist - This month's original Dojo sketch card is by Kevin Eastman, co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and editor/publisher of Heavy Metal magazine. I'd tell you more, but I'm pretty certain we all know who he is.

April entries:
1. Go
2. Steve Hubbell
3. Go

Nope. It was me working 80 hours last week, so I'm a bit behind and just getting caught up.

This month has a smaller than average pool, with only 3 weekly winners being represented.

1. Go
2. Steve Hubbell
3. Go

With only 3 people this month and Go having the statistical advantage, random.org picks...

Steve for the upset! With two monthly wins in a row, that means Steve can't win next month, so any weekly answers he wins will just increase the odds of May's other weekly winners.

P.S. I'll be late posting the May prize pack as well, as I'm waiting to see about getting some items signed if Stan ends up doing the signing at the San Diego Comic Art Gallery later this week that he had been considering.

Dang, I keep forgetting about these monthly drawings!

I guess this means I don't have to send go the correct answer to his trivia question now, but I might send it in anyways if I can figure out how to measure it.
