Usagi Yojimbo DojoBoard

Apologies for getting this up so late.

In Albedo Issue #4 we see Lord Hikiji is a human (looking). He is not the only human to appear in the pages of Usagi Yojimbo. Where else have other human (looking) character/s appeared?

I'm looking for just in the regular Usagi story.

One guess or can we add as we look through the trades?

I've had a few good answers so far, so I'll give everyone a hint.

There is more than one human character to have appeared in Usagi's pages.

There's still time to get in those guesses. I stopped looking after Saga book 2.

Well, when I made this question, I was only aware of two characters who appear human or take human form in the comic. Almost immediately I am given a decent sized list of characters who appear human. I was told about a lot of small background characters who have five fingers, look human, and even a cameo by Calvin and Hobbes.

The two characters I started with were Groo, who has a brief cameo (And thinking) appearance in "Lone Rabbit and Child", and Ocho appears as a human in "Village of Fear". If everyone thinks it is still fair, I'll consider only answers that have either of these people as correct for this trivia, as both have spoken/thought bubbles when they appeared. If not, I'll reroll for everyone who answered.

In the end, I'll just accept I need to just prepare a few of these trivia questions ahead of time to make sure I don't mess up again. Thank you.

My other immediate thought past Groo was Stan, Mark and Sergio at the end of a particular story waiting to ambush Usagi, but I couldn't recall offhand which story it was.

I didn't count the DH 100 issue because I thought that wasn't part of the regular Usagi issues.

I submitted this: Here are my guesses:

-Bounty Hunter - There is a samurai human on the last page/panel of the story. Critters #1 but it is also on page 62 of the first trade paperback (The Ronin)
-The Tower - Calvin (and Hobbs) from the daily newspaper strip are looking up on page 12, UY #7

I threw in a last minute entry with a character I had just recently learned of, one of Lord Noriyuki's servants is a human looking character that appears in a couple panels of the story "The Confession". I had never noticed until I read someone's comments about the character in a web article.

Yes, I wasn't counting it for the same reason when coming up with answers.

Thinking about it, yes that is true, because I can recall the page itself, but not the story (still!).

I loved going back and seeing Calvin in the issue.
I got to find new easter eggs, so it was a win for me too.
