I'd like to know exactly when we can expect to see the War of the Worlds mini-series. Stan is notorious for extreme long-term planning (I've been waiting 20+ years for a UY/Nilson x-over...and remember the Tengu Wars story arc mentioned years ago). It could end up being 10 years out, if not more.
While the concept does sound a bit off-beat for an historically accurate comic book series, keep in mind that Stan has crossed this line before -- Zylla (whom I doubt we've seen the last of), the fact that the TMNT appearances are now part of normal UY continuity, and that Space Usagi itself is actually part of UY continuity, albeit in the distant future. The latter seems an unlikely possibility, but perhaps the War of the Worlds mini-series will somehow give birth to the Space Usagi universe.
I think we need to trust Stan. He hasn't let us down before, but darn does he sure take a long time to give us what we want!!!
