I had the honor of interviewing the legendary Stan Sakai. For those of you who are not falling out of your chair, this means you don’t read comics. For those of you who do, know that he is the creator of Usagi Yojimbo. Usagi is a beloved samurai rabbit who is celebrating his 35thanniversary this year! I am a huge fan of Stan’s work and an avid reader of Usagi. If you love samurai stories, feudal Japan, or ninjas – this comic is for you! It was great learning more about the history of Japan and talking to Stan about his creative process.

I had the honor of interviewing the legendary Stan Sakai last year, and Stan generously agreed to another conversation on Culture Chat! Stan is the creator of Usagi Yojimbo, one of my favorite comic book characters. If you love samurai stories, feudal japan, or ninjas – this comic is for you.

Stan recently won 2 new Eisner awards and was inducted into the Hall of Fame at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. Team Usagi is also excited to announce a new Netflix series coming soon to a tv near you.

It was great to catch up with Stan and see how he has been doing during the pandemic and discuss his latest projects.
