Cartoonists On Patriotism
The Comics Journal - Volume 3 Special Edition - Winter 2003

Stan Sakai is listed as a contributor for this volume in an ebay auction description. Does anyone know what he contributed?

William Stout is one of the most accomplished, acclaimed, and commercially successful illustrators, painters, and cartoonists in America. The Comics Journal Winter 2003 Special spotlights Stout's work with a beautiful cover painting and an illustrated interview with the artist in which he proves to be not only a great artist but an engaging raconteur and high-flying theorist as well. He comments on his solo comics and his collaborations with Jack Kirby, Moebius, and Harvey Kurtzman; his various film work for Jim Henson and Walt Disney, among others; his album covers for the Firesign Theatre and the Rolling Stones; his advertising work on such films as Wizards, American Graffiti, and The Life of Brian, and gallery exhibitions like his critically lauded paintings of Antarctica. In addition, the volume is packed with essays and criticism, including a look back at the life and work of James Thurber, and a lengthy comics section on the theme of patriotism with work from R. Crumb, Art Spiegelman, Chris Ware, Gary Panter, Charles Burns, Peter Bagge, Bill Griffith, Arnold Roth, Los Bros Hernandez, Joe Sacco, Stan Sakai, Jim Woodring, and Seth.

As far as I know, nothing.

I did a short story for the Comics Journal special on the process of creation, but nothing for the Bill Stout issue.
