Usagi chess set

Maybe this has been talked about before but I was looking for my chess set today and thought about how cool it would be to have an Usagi set. There are so many possibilities for which characters would be king(Noriyuki), queen(Tomoe), knight(Usagi), rook(Gen), and the other side of the board could be villians such as Jei, etc... Sign me up for a set right now!!!

It would be more consistent to make a shôgi set, but this game is not as popular as chess is.

Why not an Usagi mahjong set ? I like to play mahjong solitaire, I guess you could replace the Flower and Seasons and the Dragon tiles by characters' faces.

A Usagi chess set would be so COOL!!! I'd buy one for sure!! It would look so COOL on my coffee-table! You could do one in a metalic color and one in full color(painted).

Still waiting on a Usagi necktie. Once that happens, a chess set will definitely be next on my want list.

Man, with a base of fans as motivated as we are, Dark Horse should be releasing limited edition merchandise out the wazoo

It would certainly be something I would not hesitate to purchase. Sanshobo could possibly be a bishop? But would piece would Usagi be, I wonder?

Is Usagi the knight?

Hmmmm...
It would be appropriate to set up the pieces to replicate the battle of Adachigahara. If we could put the gender implications aside, it would make sense for Mifune to be the king and Usagi to be the Queen. Or else Usagi and Gunichi could both be Knights. But then who would be the queen?
