Gary's Corner Bookstore

Forgive the non-UY inquiry, but I just returned after six years in Charlotte, NC to discover that Gary's Corner Bookstore in San Gabriel, my favorite comic book store, had disappeared!

I read on the boards that Gary is selling comics out of his backyard(?) I'd like to reconnect with him; can anyone tell me where he is?

He lives with his brother Don, just down the street from where the original corner bookstore was located. I still see him whenever I visit or pick up a box of shirts. He still runs the Corner Bookstore out of his garage, but customers consist of a core group from the original bookstore days. Stan is one of them. http://www.usagiyojimbo.com/other/garys/index.html

As far as contacting Gary, that's a challenge. As far as I know he is still fairly low-tech (no personal or cell phone). You could contact Gary through Don I suppose. Gary is definitely low tech. He got a cell phone now. That's because he could not hear his rotary phone while outside. He still does not have an answering machine, or computer.

He just does catalog orders throught the Diamond Previews book. He does order a few extra copies of the more popular books as well.
