We don't have any idea what's going to happen yet, but some of the fans have already begged Stan to go easy on Chizu, and he can't cut everybody slack all the time. Sometimes you've gotta hurt the ones you love the most.
Yes, yes, I know, your reasoning is immaculate; it really looks as if Mayumi will not survive # 102;
But that is no reason for me to give up on her. I'm the kind of guy who watches a film yelling "Look out!", trying to warn the characters. Even after viewing certain films for the n-th time, I sometimes catch myself hoping that this time they won't do that stupid and fatal mistake again....
Of cource I'm disappointed very often...

Like issue 99, UY 102 is one of those stories with an alternate ending. Unfortunately, it was much too long to do the finished art on. It was done as roughs, much like "Sukanku" that was printed in the UY Sketchbook #3.
Like that story, this ending will be printed in a sketchbook--actually, in #4 scheduled for July.
The reason I did not go with this ending, is that it is even more "controversial" than the one I turned in to Diana.

I rearranged a few things, and decided to move up the printing of the UY Sketchbook #4 to early May. I should have copies at Motor City, just a few weeks after the release of UY 102.

I'm sure I haven't read the one you're referring to Mike but I was reading the Shrouded Moon TPB last nigt and I think he kinda did on their very first meeting too! Gave Usagi a stabbing pain in the head just by glaring at him and took 500 ryo from Gen. - scary

Ok but it was a whole lot longer than a year ago (tho' I notice now that Mike said over a year ago) as the story wasn't collected 'till 2003 and I figure was drawn in 2001. I assumed that it was in the chunk of stories I haven't encountered yet.
Shizukiri shows up on a horse I believe and Usagi and him get in a staring match. Usagi can't keep his gaze and looks down at the ground. I remember reading and thinking 'holy crap! This guy is bad BADWORD!' Too bad he's a jerk.
