I dont post there very ofter, but when I do, I post under the screen name of usagigoya. Today was the first time in a month or two that I even stopped in at the CBR forum. Once in a while I post a reply to a Usagi topic or occassionally even start one, I only have a post count of about 30 there.shaxper wrote: Where are you guys posting on CBR? I never see you there.

I have been a member over there since 2004 (just before the most recent big crash) I started out at the Hellboy forum which was my introduction to all things forum and posting related, and stayed put for years. I do visit the community forum sporadically - mostly Rita's just to chat. There are some great Usagi fans over there - A couple of the guys were instrumental in getting Gary and I started on our current Usagi oddessy. Check out my art thread if you want to see what I make

Wow. I was thoroughly enjoying your fresh and dream-stimulating art before I even realized it was glasswork. I went through about five pages, and I intend to check out the rest. Exceptional!
By the way, I'm shaxper over at CBR (could you guess?). I post a lot, but usually just because I ran out of things to say at the Dojo

Nope. I do my Usagi talk here, and I don't passionately follow any other indie titles. You'll usually find me hanging around Classic Comics and the DC boards.morna-san wrote:Thanks man! I guess that's why your username sounds familiar! What forum do you hang out in? - indies?
and I would agreeoops I think we're derailing this thread

Cool. So what are we doing when we meet up at 3? Are we all still meeting up for dinner too?Yes I'm looking forward to meeting you guys. So Saturday at three still stands - kool!

Sounds like the dinner list so far includes:morna-san wrote:yup, as far as I know... that one's Steve's baby thoughAre we all still meeting up for dinner too?
Morna-san & husband (Gary)
Shaxper & wife (Kiera)
David Petersen
Stan Sakai
Myself & nephew (Nick) - finally confirmed that my nephew can go
MikeM & wife ( ? ) - still pending final confirmation
Looking like a perfectly sized group for a hibachi style table, if I remember correctly how big they are.
Dinner will probably include more pictures, more chatting, more stuff like that, (no pestering Stan and David mercilessly), etc.

Has everyone checked out the web-site for Benihana's?

I beleive my good friend Jeremy Bastian (www.jeremybastian.com) and his girlfriend will be joining us as well!

Dude, I would love to have made it. I wish the timing was better, cuz I would have. The last time we did a real Dojo Dinner Party was way back in 2000 at Fanime Con. San Diego simply doesn't allow Stan the opportunity to do something cool like that.Steve Hubbell wrote:You know, Todd, as Shogun, you are honor bound to make the effort to attend this auspicous Motor City Dojo Gathering and Dinner!Todd Shogun wrote:Wow! This sounds exciting. Too bad I will miss it...

I was trying to be secretive, but it's OK now! Yes I am going to pick this amazing gorgeous piece up at MCCC. I am just so excited. It's my favorite cover in the whole roster of wonderful Stan covers. I like a lot of them but this one really speaks to me.MikeM wrote:morna-san, why would you brag about that in another forum instead of this one?
Damn, that's a nice cover to own. Congrats.
MikeM
PS Glad you can (hopefully) make it to the dinner now Mike
Thank-you. I am ecstaticSteve Hubbell wrote:Congratulations are in order....
