General discussion about Usagi Yojimbo, the comics, the stories, the characters, collectibles, TV appearances, Stan Sakai, Space Usagi, Nilson & Hermy, and all other related topics.
I have to agree with Todd, these photos and scans (almost) make up for not being able to attend; but it's just too long a trip from Berlin to Detroit...
Thank you again for posting and sharing the experience.
Greetings from overseas

I would like to thank you all, Merci, thanks to have shared with us this event, with your comments, photos links and scans.
This is only a glimpse of all of this of course, but it is so good, i can feel good vibes, and it is a pleasure and an honor to be a member of such a communauty.
thanks Stan to be so generous with us, and to be the great man you are.
I saw Stan and David Petersen drawing on a number of copies of this Capt. America issue which had a blank area on the cover.....
I'm Mister S! That's my sketch, and I shot the video. THe MCCC was a blast - I'm kicking myself that I haven't found this forum sooner! I would have loved to meet up with you all.
My sister in law took me to the Motor City Comic Con and I had the chance to meet one of the nicest people in this world Stan Sakai! I'll see everyone next year!
Lft to Right..
My Sister In Law, Stan Sakai, My Best Friend and the front is Me!!
Thank you for the photo and welcome to the Dojo, Kacyjf;
Boy, MCCC really had an impact; new Dojo members popping up, telling their great stories...
My envy, already noticable before, grows with every single post
Ok, just joking on the last one, so keep it coming!
Greetings from overseas

Welcome to these boards!
MikeM
Judging by the cloth draped over Scott Rosema's table, the photo was take before the con opened.
The funny thing is, I have that exact same photo in my camera. Sharon asked, "What were you doing at that con? I'm glad Sergio was there to keep an eye on you."
The night after the con I was lying in bed looking at some of the Usagi trades I'd brought with me to read on the plane and things and I made a happy discovery. The Usagi con sketch Gary bought me for my birthday is printed on the back cover of the latest trade!
Yaay! Not only have I grown extremely fond of the piece but it's a published one! Woo hoo~
It looks like we have created at least three new Usagi fans on our travels so far. It really helps having original art to haul out... and at least 8 of the trades... and a few single isssues !
