Paris--what to bring?

Post by Stan Sakai »

It's a long shot, but if any Dojo members will be at the Japan Expo in Paris next month and would like me to bring anything in particular, let me know on this thread or by e-mail.

I will be there July 4-9, so will have a couple free days before the Expo to do some sightseeing.

Sensei, are you going to see Fanfan again?
I'm pretty sure I can't go to Paris (alone again; my wife and kid would skin me alive... ), but maybe Fanfan would be so kind and collect something for me...
Greetings from overseas

I would like to if he is free, however I do not want to impose on him too much. After all, he escorted me around Paris, Rennes, Mont St Michel, and St Malo in October, and he traveled with me on my last trip to Angouleme. This is time that he took off from his work.

Since i worked a lot (yes that's true !) my manager gave me 2 extra free days for this year, so i think it is possible to plan something (i spare my free days for my trip to China in september), at least i hope a restaurant :D , but we have to plan it this week. Will you come with Sharon Stan ? Do you want to see something in particular ? (just email me)

Of course Thomas i can take things for you

Well, I am still looking for Shellshock... and if you still have one of those Father and son DH's bookmark... i'll send you an email :D

It would be very nice to see you. Unless there is something spectacular that I have not seen just outside the city, I will be staying in Paris this time. I will be traveling alone.

I do not know where I am staying, or if Paquet has arranged any bookstore signings or interviews while I am there.

I believe you will have one signing in a FNAC (a concurrent to Virgin Megastore)

I think you have seen the major sites inside and near Paris. You will have "le luxe de flâner" (privilege to stroll, we always say in big city that only tourists have time to take time.)

I was hoping to spend a couple of free days to explore Paris, but it looks like I will just have one free day--Wednesday, July 4.

I will be taking a Thursday morning train to Chambery in the Rhone Valley to do a signing at BDFIX. Then I will take an evening train to Geneva.

Friday, I will take a very early morning flight to Paris and be at the Japan Expo in the morning. I will do a signing at Librairie Album Bercy from 17 h to 20h30 (5-8:30).

I will be at the Japan Expo all day Saturday and Sunday.

Back to the US on Monday morning.
