**WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS FOLLOW!**
I think I've just made a little discovery. Or maybe not. Time will tell.
The village child afflicted with a mysterious fever in #103 is called "Jubei". At the end of GRASSCUTTER, a junior priest who also happens to be called Jubei runs to Sanshobo and Senzo after finding the bodies of Inazuma/Jei's victims back at the temple. Take a look at the child, and then the man; it's quite possible that Priest Jubei is the same boy that Jizonobu was tending to before Lord Goyo's daughter fell ill. (Keep in mind this could all just be a coincidence.)
My guess for what's to come: "Jeizuma" recognizes Jubei during her stay at the temple mentioned in #109, and the recollection causes Jizonobu's humanity to resurface. Or, Jubei could become Jei's next host.

Dude, awesome observation! Stan is known for making connections like this, so you are probably right. Of course, Jubei is a common name, but Stan rarely introduces characters with the same name in UY. I wouldn't have caught it myself. Perhaps Jubei will play a role in Sparrows?
Since this topic has already been marked as a warning for potential spoilers, one can speculate that Senzo is the next host for Jei, given what the synopses in the Coming Up section are saying. Of course, Stan NEVER gives away stuff so freely...so more than likely that is not the case. Also, how adept with the sword is Senzo (or Jubei for that matter) to warrant possession by Jei? Jizonobu was a former samurai, and skilled with the spear...same with Inazuma. You'd think the host provides a lot to the demon in order to allow him to exact his vengeance on the world's "evil".
One idea I had when I saw the cover for UY 108, with Usagi seemingly protecting Inazuma (most likely in that remote hut, or another one nearby) from Gen and Stray Dog, was what would happen if Jei suddenly discovers that Usagi is not so evil as he was made out to be...or that Inazuma recognizes Usagi through the demon's eyes and somehow manages to communicate to Usagi....guess we'll find out...
