Many of you other than Todd Shogun probably wont remember me. But I am still a huge Stan Sakai/Usagi Yojimbo fan and have been since the days of Albedo.
With Further Confusion's theme this year being "The Fur East", a bunch of friends and I finally got to do what I've wanted to do for years!
Yes, We shot a Samurai movie in tribute to Stan, Akira Kuruasowa, and Toshiro Mifune. We did this over a 4 month period and it will Premiere on Sunday night during the Furry Night Live show.
I was involved with just about every facet of this production. From writing the script to editing the footage. Oh yea, I built my fursuit too within those 4 months. We filmed a lot of the movie at Hakone Gardens in Saratoga California. Known as one of the places "Memoirs of a Geshia was filmed.
If you are coming to FC please look for it, if not then I will announce when it is released on You tube
PS. I'm the cat to the hero's right. I'm also the bad guy! I had a lot of fun trying to bring out my inner Genosuke at times.
Yup! I did drive that Zamboni but that was years ago. I went on to make Harley parts with a catalog company, then I worked for a company that did Wi-Fi installations in city wide networks. Yea, I was on the end of a bucket truck arm putting wireless equipment on light poles.
You, Sensei, will be getting a DVD copy of your own and a signed poster from the crew. We will be re-editing the footage after the show to come up with a blooper reel and some commentary to put to it. I will just need your address to send it to after we are done. I used to have it many years ago but I think I lost it a few moves ago. Never used it as I did not want to be a pest.
I really wish you could be here to see it at the premiere.
The short is just under 10 minutes long, so plenty of room for the fun stuff.
WARNING, my FurAffinity site WILL have naughty Adult stuff on it.
