Finally my local comic store got this issue on their shelves. I'd been avoiding this thread for weeks until I could read it.
I loved this story! Though it featured Usagi, it was really all about Gen, and I think Stan did a terrific job! I hope we can see those foxes again in the future. Maybe they'll be for Gen what Mr. Mxypltz is for Superman! Not necessarily malevolent, but dangerous and annoying as heck.
As for the cover with the eyes, I think it's a refreshing change. Having the dots instead of the "angry" eyes gives him an air of wisdom. I also love the coloring job by Tom Luth. (It was Tom Luth, right? I'll have to go home and check...)
