Will Grasscutter ever return?

The last time we saw it, Grasscutter was safely sealed away within Atsuta Shrine. But could Grasscutter somehow resurface again? Supposedly no one can reach the blade now, but wasn't the same thing said before Ryoko dragged it out from the ocean?

Atsuta Shrine is such a holy place, it is believed that someone who would steal an artifact like Grasscutter would be harshly punished by the Gods. Nobody would dare steal Kusanagi from the Shrine because they fear these religious rumors.

But, one person did steal it. He returned it, after suffering the wrath of the gods.

Wait, did that happen in a UY story? Or is that historical?

It's like Chizu said to Usagi: "It might be safe at the shrine for the moment, but who knows what the years will bring?"

Besides, the incident only proves that stealing Kusanagi from Atsuta could be unthinkable, but not impossible...
