I'm baaaack!!
Konnichi wa dudes and dudettes!!! I haven't posted here for many a moon, but, I'm back! Not much has changed for me except That I have a new imac computer aaannd....my comic shop no longer carries Usagi!!!! YYYEEEEAAARRRRGH!!!!! They say that they didn't get enough call for it,so, they decided to drop it!!! Now I've got no where to get my Usagi fix!!! And I've missed quite a few issues!! Oh cruel fates!!! And they don't get in special orders!!! Double YYYEEEEAAARRRGH!!! Oh well, At least I've got this website. I'm still cartooning. At least for my own enjoyment right now. I'm working on a comicbook about my own "sword-slinger" A little "sword & sorcery". And Usagi is still one of my chief inspirations. Along with Sergio Argones' "Groo the Wanderer". Plus, my many samurai flicks and kung-fu films as well. Well...I'm glad to be back and I'll be posting here as often as I can. So...sayonnara for now .

Usagi comics
Thanks oh wise Shogun, but, I think that it would get too expensive to go this route. I mean...I'm all the way up here in the "great white north,eh. And there's no telling what shape they'd arrive in. I like my comics to be mint. But, thanks for the suggestion anyway dude. I guess that I'll just have to puruse my back issues and trade paperbacks for inspiration. The joys of living in boonieville. Abayo!

Re: Usagi comics
Does the Canadian postal service really rough up your mail that badly? You might want to try Mile High Comics. If you place a big enough order, they ship it in a pretty sturdy cardboard box that's a little bit difficult to get into.Robert Wetherelt wrote:Thanks oh wise Shogun, but, I think that it would get too expensive to go this route. The U.S. postal service roughs up packages I order every once in a while. Recently, I ordered a Groo trade paperback from Amazon marketplace, and when it arrived, it looked like a truck had run over it or something! Fortunately, I was able to get a pretty quick refund by filing an Amazon a-to-z refund claim.

Welcome back Robert. I just came back after being gone for a month or so myself.
Does your comic shop have pull lists? If you add Usagi to it, they can order 1 copy from Diamond when doing orders. Thats what my local comic shop did. Now they get like 5 copies in.
If that doesnt work, let me know. I might be able to help you out. Postage would be cheaper since Im in Canada as well.

Thanks ...
Yo' Mike : Thanks muchos for the e-mail. I live in Ontario too. Just outside of Hamilton. I'm sorry to say that I don't know what a "pull list " is. The only comics store that I have access to is one in Toronto called the "Silver Snail" on Queen St. And I can only get there once a month.( usually around the beginning of the month.) It's a BIG store ,so, I'm puzzled as to why they would get it into their heads to stop selling Usagi. It always sold out before. And they might have, on occasion, have one or two left over. These would usually find their way into the back issue bins under "U". The next time that I am there I will press them on the subject of Usagi and see what shakes loose. Anyway, thanks again for your e-mail. Abayo!
