Any chance of Omnibus editions of Usagi Yojimbo now?

Post by MrGranger »

Since Fantagraphic is releasing what looks like a perfect, hardcover collection of the first Usagi Yojimbo, any signs that others may follow suit? I just started reading the books this year and really would not mind splurging for hardcover editions for it all. I know there are some out-of-print HC editions of past volumes, but most are only available by going to war on ebay. Perfect time to start where Fantagraphics leaves off.

I talked to Dark Horse about publishing a couple of Usagi "bricks", but nothing came out of it. However, they would probably be trade paperbacks, much like the Complete Bone trade.

That wouldn't be too bad either. Funny you mention Bone, it's one of the other few series that I'd like in HC. Am considering paying Mr. Ebay Scalper for one of the limited HC collections.

But I'd really want a HC collection so they could be passed down through the generations. Too many books with less value to me get that treatment. Maybe I can just pay someone to bind the paperbacks. I want my grandchildren to be able to enjoy Usagi Yojimbo.
