Stan in the UK?

Post by samlack99 »

Hey everyone,

First time poster - long time reader. In fact one of my greatest pleasures is sitting down in a comfy chair, with a cup of jasmine tea and a pile of Usagi Yojimbo comics. It's the only comic I have that I can read over and over again.

It's pure genius and I love it.

Ok, rant over

I was just wondering if Stan is likely to ever visit the UK? (or has he ever visited the UK and I missed it?)

I think he's the greatest comic book creator ever and I'd love to meet him

Kindest regards

Marcus

I did go to London a couple of years ago, but strictly as a tourist. It was on our way back from a comics festival in Spain. I met up with Mayhem and Thomas from this Dojo Forum, and we spent the entire day together with them acting as guides.

The only things I signed were for them.

I would love to go back, but have no plans in the near future. In fact, I've got to cut down on my traveling. I know, I say this every year.

As Stan noted, it was a pleasure to meet up with him on "home turf" and take him on a tour of technically my home city. I really hope you are able to return sometime; David Petersen is going to be here next month and I helped to orchestrate a signing session in London for Mouse Guard! Until then, I'll have to make those trips out to San Diego each year ;)
With a breeze comes a storm, but then you'll all be washed away...
