Are there plans for #11 to be reprinted? Seems that everyone has jacked the price up as soon as I decide to get all the trades.
And I hope the Fantagraphics collection comes out before I retire.
Out of print trade paperbacks?

I think 11 is getting reprinted at the same time as 9 and 10--meaning August (I think--its definitely this summer). I was lucky and one of the local stores here had all three on the shelf. Knowing the guy, if he'd have known they were out of print, he'd have charged more or tried to sell them on E-bay. Thank goodness, though, I've read them and am waiting for Volume 21 to come in at my home store.
Good luck finding 11! There have been lots of nice people on here who helped me fill in the gaps for really affordable prices!

I'm new to Usagi, just started to collect the books and one of the first things I've noticed is Book 11 fetching $100+ dollars!MrGranger wrote:Are there plans for #11 to be reprinted? Seems that everyone has jacked the price up as soon as I decide to get all the trades.

Space Usagi also seems to be out of print. Is the plan to let the older ones go out of print and then to re-release them as souped-up versions over time?

From the information out there, they are letting ones go out of print and redesigning them so they match the more recent trades that have been coming out. It'll be subtle, but the best thing to do if you're impatient like me is to poke around at your local stores or ask around boards who might help you find it on sale at a website somewhere.
And if you can make it to one of the conventions this season, it's also very likely you'll find one there. Waiting sucks, though. I'm waiting for 21 now!

Are you, or someone you know going to San Diego? I will have all the books there, at about cover price (I add a nickel to round it to the nearest dollar).Angilasman wrote:Urg.
The Dark Horse site says that the reprints of 8, 9, and 10 have been pushed back to Dec. 29 (just in time for Christmaaa... oh wait) while amazon.com is saying Jan 11th!
I was trying to read all of Usagi by years end, but I guess it just gives me something to look forward to.
