Where's Lord Noriyuki?

Post by Robert Wetherelt »

Can anybody tell me whats become of Lord Noriyuki? I've missed out on three years worth of Usagi's adventures. Has he grown up at all? Has he become a samurai? Does Tomoe still serve him?
Inquiring minds would like to know.( lol !)

Abayo! :?

He hasn't been featured again for more than three years :) (Well, I'm pretty sure, though he may have had a tiny intermission appearance somewhere) The last story to feature him was still the one about the Ghost in the Well, right after the Mother of Mountains story, before Usagi bids farewell to the Geishu clan after the tea ceremony with Tomoe.

So everything's still as it was then - he's still a boy, Tomoe's still his bodyguard. We haven't really seen him getting samurai training but he does seem to be meeting more and more with the Shogun and so the Geishus are probably getting more politically important.

The Noriyuki/Tomoe stories really are incredibly spaced out, which is a bit funny given how they are considered main, prominent characters. After all, their appearance prior to the Mother of Mountains story was way back in Grasscutter! We've seen Chizu and Kitsune much more frequently - maybe even Stray Dog by now!

Noriyuki is one of my faves, I miss him. As I do Jotaro (Who's my fave after Usgai himself).

Stan, it's about time Usagi droped by to see his son and his Sensai. Hehe.

If I'm to understand the way time passes in the book it's probably not even a year since Usagi has seen Noriyuki.
