I liked it. Nice, strong opening.

It sets up the Red Scorpion gang which will apparently be the baddies for the next round of issues. There's a line of dialogue which made me go "hmmm" in terms of foreshadowing - but I won't spoil it.

I read and liked it (but then, I always do).

There was one line of dialogue which made me go hmm as well, but probably differant dialogue and for a differant reason. Actually, I went hmm over the same bit when I read the original preview on the DH web-site a few weeks back.

Yes, we all missed the misplaced balloon arrow. I caught it when I saw the preview, but it was already too late to correct it for the comic. It will be fixed for the trade, though.

So the statement in red should be said by Usagi then? Noted for when I get the issue myself...

I was thinking of the line about no one knowing who leads the Red Scorpion gang - I have a feeling we'll find out! In my suspicious mind this suggests that the identity of the leader will be a bit of a suprise or twist.

The drawing of Usagi with the bump on his head. Made me laugh out loud. I don't know why but I found that extremely funny.

Peace, maka

I love this issue. I always love these stories with Usagi which involove cultural items, thoughts, or belieaf. I really love Usagi's face when he comes back and sees the size of the masters Taiko he has carved. "Hokey Smokes!"

I look forward to teh next issue!!!!

What skin would be used for a drum of this size?

Dear Readers,
Great taiko issues.
Does anyone know what skin would be used for a drum of this size?
Here is a 3 ton drum on wikipedia:
