Do your pages look like this? The entire interview is stuck together. :(

I haven't had these glued together pages in this special edition but I encountered the same problem with my tpb 20, glimpses of death....this is always a heartbreaker:you either rip your perfectly new book's falsely connected pages apart and maybe damage the book or you don't harm the book and aren't able to read it therefore...;)
didn't you return your special eition?because for this price everything should be well worked I think....

I'm still waiting for a response. Not the quickest customer service.

That's all I need to know. ;)

Peace, maka
Just to follow up on the mystery "Signed Edition:"

I finally went to my LCB store today and asked to see the on-line pre-order of UY special edition signed. They did show me a webpage (although I was behind the counter and my eyesight isn't that great. I couldn't see the details). Indeed it said signed and is schedule to arrive in June 2011. I told them that was strange because Stan Sakai said no one told him about it. He said, "Well, he should know" and we laughed.

I ordered the "non-signed" edition. :)

Peace, maka

I got mine in the mail this week, and love the set. I've been re-reading all the stories for the first time in years. Such a good read.
What do we have to do to convince Dark Horse to follow up with similar editions?

Well, you could make a contract with them saying you'll buy a certain amount of the copies when finished, so they know they'll get the printing costs back....say about 5000 copies at 60 US $ each... that would be most convincing... :D
No, seriously, if a major institution like the National Library Institution (or whatever it is called; don't know if it even exists) would want to buy copies for libraries all over the land, that would be reason enough to go to press...
Greetings from overseas

this book is a wonderful edition to my collection...well what we have to remember is I think dark horse is usagi's home NOW, fantagraphics was the publisher years ago..if dark horse publishes a single book(okay two actually) that offers potential readers all of dark horse's usagi stories at once for some dollars then what would motivate these customers to purchase the single books being offered by the company any longer?

This applies to the Fantagraphics books, as well.
I don't think it's hurting the sales of the individual paperbacks. It's a much bigger investment to get these hardcovers and the regular collections are still accessible to the casual reader.
