I was looking over the lists here and I see that Usagi and the Kami of the Pond doesn't seem to be in any of the trade paperback collections. Am I just missing it or is it uncollected? Are there any other uncollected stories (besides the issues that come after Book 24, naturally)?

Any idea where or when the short story "Saya" will be published?

Or did I miss it like always?

At this point, Saya has only been reprinted / published in the MySpace Dark Horse Presents #3 tpb.

The second MySpace Usagi story - Cut the Plum - is being reprinted / published in the MySpace Dark Horse Presents #6 tpb (which is being released at the beginning of this coming February, according to Amazon).

Saya is scheduled for UY Book 25, coming out in July. Kami of the Pond will be included in Book 26. No plans for Cut the Plum yet.

Has anyone put together a list of all the Usagi stories (not cameos or pinups) that have yet to be collected in the paperbacks?

From what I can tell, these are the ones I know of:

Color Specials 1-3

Usagi and the Kami of the Pond, Dark Horse Maverick 2001

Saya
http://myspace.com/darkhorsepresents?is ... storynum=3

Cut the Plum
http://myspace.com/darkhorsepresents?is ... storynum=4

Nocturnals sequence

Not sure about this one:
More Fund Comics Sep/2003 issue # 1 Ninja Hunt

Older backup stories: The Crossing, the Panda Khan story, Usagi's Ark.

The first three colour specials were included in book #22, Tomoe's Story. Not only do you get to see them in b/w for the first time (how they were originally drawn), but the originals for the first colour special story had gone AWOL, so Stan REDREW the entire story for the collection. This book is the only way to read essentially v2 of the tale.
With a breeze comes a storm, but then you'll all be washed away...

Ah, very cool. I didn't know about that.

Do any dojo board members have a scan of "Ninja Hunt"? It's a single page story, and I'd love to see it.

It was actually posted on line when it first came out. I'll see if I can find the link.

Found it....

I was contemplating a few weeks back about how neat it would be if Stan and Dark Horse published a 2012 calendar featuring twelve new one page b/w stories similar to Ninja Hunt and The Leaping Ninja along with a new color cover.

Thanks for posting that!
Great to see these. The one-pagers are a lot of fun.
