General discussion about Usagi Yojimbo, the comics, the stories, the characters, collectibles, TV appearances, Stan Sakai, Space Usagi, Nilson & Hermy, and all other related topics.
Hello, fellow Usagi fans..... I've been an enthusiast about the astounding "rabbit bodyguard" since his first appearances in "funny animal comics ...now long ago..... and that reminds me.. whatever happened to "Panda Khan" that was a splendid bit of story-telling, too.
I'm hoping to complete my collection, and I need the Trade Book format of #4 and #7.... were these published by Dark Horse only?..... It's particularly frustrating....... ... I loved the "Dragon Bellow Conspiracy", but only caught it one slow issue at a time... and sold my single issues sets about 7 years ago....... and what of "Gen's Story" ?
If any fellow fan can put me on to where a canadian Yojimbo can find these two issues in a peacefully used condition... or even New..... that would be thoroughly appreciated......
.... and by the bye.... where any of the very early... "funny animal" Usagi stories ever reprinted under one cover ?
Gen's story, I think is in one of the Dark Horse TPBs, but I'm not sure. It might appear in Sahdes of Death or the Brink of Life and Death (not to confuse you...)
Dragon Bellow is a popular sought-after book, so good luck with that (not to Mr. Sakai: re-release!)

Your in luck. Book 4 "Dragon Bellow's Conspiracy and Book 7 "Gen's Story" are both from Fantagraphic Books and are still in print. Any good comic book store should be able to order them for you or go to their web site www.fantagraphicsbooks.com.
Kon nichi wa,
In Toronto? I hope you pick up a copy of the "Drawing the Line" benefit comic which is being published and distributed from Toronto and which contains an original 4 page Young Usagi story... The web-site lists a couple of Toronto comic shops where it (and probably the Usagi Yojimbo books also) can be bought...
Abayo.
