Hello good people,
I recently bought the special Edition Usagi Yojimbo by Fantagraphics. Nice book! Nice stories and now I'm hooked. I'm looking forward to buy all the rest of the story, but I noticed the huge gap between the regular softcover and the HC. Is there any plans by DH to get the TPBs in one big book, as Fantagraphics did? That would be great for me. If not, I'll have to go with the regular SC.
Also, I noticed Yokai seems to be standalone. Will I regret reading this this early?
Thanks!
Ovronnaz

Welcome
I don't believe DH has plans to release Usagi in a similar format, but it might change its mind in the future. Thankfully the softcovers are pretty easy and cheap to acquire. Well, in comparison to the hardcovers heh.
As for Yokai, it can be enjoyed as it is because there's no definition to its continuity, but it would certainly help if you've already read stories featuring Sasuke as it goes into a bit of his backstory.

that being said you should get tpb v 11, seasons to read sasuke's first encounter with usagi..but I disagree with that, I hadn't read their first encounter before obtaining yokai as this trade paperback was always not in stock...pretty much every usagi story can be read alone, as stan sums up all important information for the story in it somewhere...knowing more only adds to the story for you....
